EventMC

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of EventMC. By using the service you agree to them. This is an early preview, so they may change — we'll note material changes here.

The service

EventMC turns recordings of spoken events into readable, searchable, and citable public transcripts. We provide the service "as is" and aim for high accuracy, but automated transcription and AI-generated summaries can contain errors. The transcript is a record, not a substitute for the original event.

Your content and rights

You must only upload audio you own or have permission to publish, and you are responsible for having any consent required from the people recorded. By publishing an event you grant EventMC the licence needed to host, process, and display that content and its derived transcript. You keep ownership of your content.

Acceptable use

  • Don't upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to share.
  • Don't misrepresent who said what, or use the service to harass or defame.
  • Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.

Takedowns & corrections

If a transcript misattributes a quote, or you hold rights to uploaded audio and want it removed, email hello@eventmc.co with the page URL and the details, and we'll act quickly.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, EventMC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, or from errors in automatically generated transcripts or summaries.
